Terms & Conditions for Public Workshops

All registrations are governed by the following terms and conditions.

By submitting your registration to Capelle Academy Pte Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Capelle”), you agree that you have read, understood, agreed and accepted all the terms and conditions stipulated herein.

1. Registration & Admission

          a. Registration must be submitted to Capelle at least 14 days prior to Workshop Start Date.
          b. Admission to Workshop is on a first come, first served basis.
          c. Participants are required to produce their highest attained qualification to support their registration.
          d. Capelle reserves the right to refuse participants who do not meet the admission criteria for the Workshop.
          e. Capelle reserves the right to change the Workshop dates.

  1. Workshop Confirmation

 A confirmation email on the commencement of the Workshop will be sent to participants 8 days before the            Workshop Start Date.

  1. Workshop Cancellation
    1. Capelle reserves the right to cancel the Workshop under the following circumstances:
      1. If there are insufficient sign-ups.
      2. Other unforeseen circumstances that prevent the running of the Workshop.
    2. A cancellation email will be sent to registrants 8 days before Workshop Start Date.
  1. Participant Withdrawal 
    1. A late cancellation charge of $50 (incl GST) will be imposed if withdrawal is:
      1. < 4 workdays before Workshop Start Date
      2. Failure to turn up on any day of the Workshop


i. Participant provides a replacement.

ii. Participant provides evidence of unforeseen circumstances preventing attendance (e.g. medical, compassionate reasons) through hard copy or via email to public[email protected].

iii. Participant will be barred from future workshops if found to be non-compliant to any of the above conditions.

  1. Workshop Fees
    1. Workshop fees are subject to change.
    2. Full Fees indicated are excluding prevailing GST (Goods and Service Tax) unless otherwise stated.
    3. Course Fee grants are applicable to Singapore Citizens & Permanent Residents only. [Please refer to Clause 6 on Eligibility for Funding ]
    4. Workshop fee payable = Full Fee (+ GST) less Training Grant and Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme grants (if applicable).
    5. Workshop fee payable can be made as follows:

For Self-Sponsored

  i. in Cash prior to Workshop Start Date at Capelle office* or at the Workshop Venue on the Workshop Start Date.

 ii. via personal cheque made payable to “Capelle Academy Pte Ltd”

iii. via SkillsFuture Credit – to be applied via SkillsFuture Online portal made payable to Capelle Academy                        before the Workshop Start Date.

For Company-Sponsored

Payment will have to be made either by Company Cheque made payable to “Capelle Academy Pte Ltd” or interbank transfer – before the Course start date or on Day 1 of the Course Start Date.

6. Eligibility for Funding

a. All Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are required to produce their NRIC as proof of identification to enjoy the subsidized Workshop fees.
b. Participants are eligible for grants if they comply with requirements stipulated by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG): 

             i. Must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

            ii. Attained minimum 75% attendance (except for Certified Service Professional, SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace programmes which require 100% attendance).

           iii. Deemed 100% competent in ALL assessments

           iv. Have not previously enjoyed funding for the same Skill Standard.

  1. Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme
    1. Participants who are funded under the Workfare Training Support Scheme are required to email their WTS letter issued by SSG as well as any other supporting documents upon receipt of email confirmation from Capelle on Workshop commencement.
    2. Participants will qualify if they meet all of the following criteria :
      1. Singapore Citizens
      2. Aged 35 years and above
      3. Earn a monthly income of not more than $2,000

 c. Any of the following supporting documents should be produced for verification at the Workshop Start Date.

          i. WTS notification letter

         ii. Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) payout notification letter

       iii. Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) tax notification letter

       iv. SingPost receipt for CPF income declaration

        v. Any 1 of last 3 months’ payslips

       vi. Employment letter/contract dated not more than 3 months before Workshop registration

Training Allowance

Self-sponsored individuals eligible under the WTS scheme may approach Workforce Singapore (WSG) Career Centres or e2i Centre up to 30 days (before or after the start of the Workshop)  to apply for Training Allowance.

  1. Training Grant Application
    1. Self-sponsored individuals: Capelle will process the Training Grant application via Skillsconnect with the information provided during registration.
    2. Company-sponsored individuals: Sponsoring Company will need to submit Training Grant application for their staff via Skillsconnect before Workshop Start Date and no later than 30 days after the Workshop commences.

    Companies that fail to apply for the Training Grant will be billed Full Fees by  Capelle.

  1. Absentee Payroll Support (applicable to Company-Sponsored trainees only)
    1. To be eligible for Absentee Payroll support, trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents and have attained minimum 75% attendance (except for Certified Service Professional which requires 100% attendance).
    2. A training grant application must be submitted via SkillsConnect to apply for Absentee Payroll support.
    3. Deadline for absentee payroll support
      1. Absentee payroll support application: 30 days before Workshop Start Date
      2. Absentee payroll support claim: 120 days from Workshop End Date
  1. WSQ Certification & Outcomes Tracking
    1. A Statement of Attainment (SOA) in the form of an E-Cert will be awarded to the Trainee by SSG upon successfully meeting all Workshop requirements.
    2. Assessments will be conducted to determine the trainee’s attainment of the necessary competencies set out in the Workshop.
    3. Trainees must complete ALL assessments and be assessed as “Competent” in order to obtain the SOA.
    4. Trainees may be contacted 3-6 months after completion of the Workshop to participate in a short follow-up survey. Feedback will be used to improve learning effectiveness.
  1. Appeal and Re-Assessment
    1. Should the participant wish to make an appeal about the assessment result, the participant must submit the Appeal & Re-assessment Form to Capelle and provide reasons for the appeal within 7 working days after the Workshop End Date.
    2. Capelle will review the appeal and make a decision to approve the re-assessment or otherwise.
    3. In the event of a re-assessment, a fee of $107.00 (incl GST) will be payable upon application.
  1. General Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to be considerate and observe appropriate conduct during the Workshop. Capelle reserves the right to suspend participants from Capelle’s workshops due to misconduct. Capelle reserves the right to suspend. 

  1. Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
    1. All personal information collected is confidential and solely for administrative purposes (e.g. registration, funding etc.)
    2. Capelle is an appointed training provider by SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG) to provide training and assessment for WSQ funded programs. Based on SSG’s guideline, we will require all mandatory information for workshop registration, funding eligibility, e-cert application and Online Evaluation Survey (TRAQOM).
    3. NRIC is a necessary data field which SSG collects for proper governance of training grant disbursement.
    4. Trainees applying for SkillsFuture Funding are to provide their physical NRICs for the purpose of identification and collection of NRIC number and other personal details required to maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date records.
  1. Photography & Videography
    1. By attending this workshop, you are agreeable to be included in photographs and videos taken by Capelle for the purpose of marketing.  
  2. Non-Disclosure and Intellectual Property Rights

    1. Participants acknowledge and agree that Capelle is the sole and exclusive owner of all right, title and interest, including but not limited to trademarks, copyrights, trade names, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights, in the information and materials provided in the course of the provision of the services.
    2. Participants may not copy, modify, adapt, reproduce, translate, decompile, disassemble, sublicense or assign any aspect of the information provided. They agree that they will not remove or obscure any copyright or other notices or legends contained in any of the information provided by Capelle.
    3. The information in the materials of Capelle is provided to participants solely for their own use. All forms of sub-licensing, reselling, republication or other form of distribution, including internet posting, electronic mailing, faxing, archiving in a public database, redistributing via a computer network, or in a printed form, to third parties of any of the information provided by Capelle are strictly prohibited unless prior written consent is obtained from Capelle.
    4. It is acknowledged and agreed that monetary damages would not be sufficient remedy for any breach of this agreement and Capelle shall be entitled to specific performance and injunctive relief as remedies for any such breach (in addition to any other remedies that Capelle may have).
    5. In addition to and without prejudice to paragraph 4, the participant undertakes and agrees to indemnify and hold Capelle harmless against all claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, proceedings, fees of legal advisers (on an indemnity basis) and fees of other professionals incurred by the participant arising from a breach or neglect or alleged breach or neglect of the agreement herein.
    6. The participant agrees that this undertaking shall survive and continue to apply without any limit in time and shall remain in full force and effect until a formal release is issued in Capelle’s favour.
