Sustainability in a Perfect Long Storm

31 Mar. – 1 Apr. 2023

Batam View Beach Resort

With the confluence of mega driving forces such as the Covid-19 pandemic, Ukraine war, political tensions between superpowers, climate crisis, post-pandemic disruption, and stagflation, the world has entered into greater uncertainty and fragility. Companies today are compelled to respond even quicker to digital transformation to raise competitiveness and productivity. The toughest challenge faced by many organizations is probably leading transformational change through people.

It is precisely with this challenge, Capelle’s Conference 2023 focuses on the need for leaders to:

  1. Develop their leadership competencies;
  2. Build resilient teams; and
  3. Strengthen organization capabilities.

Corporate leaders need to respond aptly both strategically to ensure long-term corporate sustainability, and tactically to meet short-term operational expediency in building its people and organization capabilities.

What Do We Aim to Address in this Conference?

  • How the confluence of these long-term driving forces might affect the way companies acquire, lead, organize and develop people?
  • What are some of the OD challenges faced by leaders in implementing transformational changes?
  • What initiatives or interventions are needed to ensure a competent and resilient workforce to thrive in a prolonged stormy operating environment?
  • To what extent are corporate leaders equipped to lead transformational changes especially through people?

We believe that effective learning takes place in an open, interactive and reflective environment. As such, our Conference is uniquely designed for adult learning, with a combination of formal presentations from subject-matter-experts, small group discussions, learning initiatives, as well as unstructured interactions.
