Julian Yang
Julian Yang brings with him over 20 years of experience across diverse sectors, including public transport, healthcare, defence, and corporate consultancy.
Before joining Capelle, Julian was Head of the Kaizen Office at SMRT Corporation, where he led enterprise-wide learning initiatives, process improvement strategies, and innovation in workplace learning. He developed and rolled out SMRT’s Kaizen Education Roadmap, embedded continuous improvement into leadership frameworks, and championed learning for sustainability and safety. He has also served in senior roles in Learning & Development at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and as Director of Programmes at a leadership and youth training consultancy.
Experience
Julian is a seasoned learning strategist, facilitator, and curriculum designer. He has trained over 50,000 participants in leadership, service excellence, process improvement, and team development. His facilitation work spans public and private sectors, from senior leaders to frontline staff. He has also developed SSG-approved programmes and lectured at the Singapore Institute of Technology on Lean Management and Sustainability.
Certified in multiple internationally recognised frameworks—including 7 Habits®, The Leadership Challenge®, StrengthsFinder™, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt—Julian brings a rigorous and outcomes-driven approach to capability building. He holds an MBA from Northumbria University and professional certifications in adult education, sustainability strategy (MIT Sloan), and learning effectiveness. At Capelle, he continues to push the boundaries of learning design to create high-impact, future-ready programmes.
