William has been engaged by clients for mindset and behavioral change, change management, negotiation as well as cross-cultural integration of expatriates coming into the Asia Pacific. With both HR and business experiences, William helps leaders in their roles to become more effective leaders of teams, large and small.

He is at ease with senior management and high potential executives from both MNCs and SMEs. A person of many interests and very well-read, William is well-known for his many anecdotes that help many internalize concepts.

Professional Experience

William has served as Treasurer and separately, Exco member with the Asia Pacific Alliance of Coaches (APAC). He later became 2nd Vice-President of the International Coach Federation (Singapore Chapter) for two terms. A major achievement was seen in the continual growth in membership strength, as well a greater involvement of coaches in the local scene. As the Peer Coaching Coordinator, he provided the avenue for professional coaches to hone their skills with each other on a group basis.

As a Certified Coach, William employs reflection and powerful questioning to help participants draw insights and crystallize into learning principles that help facilitate breakthroughs in mindset and anchor the shifts in perspectives.

Throughout his work experiences in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region, William has had opportunities and experience in union negotiations, marketing and sales, account management, and supplies and trading. He was General Manager of a Malaysian company, which is part of an Indonesian conglomerate. Concurrently, he also held the Marketing portfolio for Taiwan and Maldives markets.

Prior to that, he was in charge of automotive lubricants, oil operations and supply in one of the world’s leading energy companies. He had earlier been part of this company’s team that successfully negotiated a Collective Agreement.

His work has taken him extensively across ASEAN, Australia, Korea, Taiwan, China and the Indian sub-continent to negotiate on deals with vendors, distributors and national oil companies.
