After a successful M & A in Singapore, our client wanted to ensure that all staff was on the same competency-levels to achieve its business objectives. For this to happen, they recognized that they must firstly identify the inter-functional and functional competencies of each staff within departments. The success of this exercise will also involve several hundred staff.

5 Months of Competency Profiling Journey
- define the inter-functional and functional competency framework
- interviews with the leadership team, functional leads were conducted to understand what might be the competency gaps within each team member and teams
- build a training calendar suitable for each staff based on their competency gap identified through the learning needs analysis
- partnered the Greater China Sales team and the Global Sales and Marketing group with the same interventions including focus group discussions and workshops to develop job profiles for their key positions
- provided advisory services to the Singapore site General Manager and Leadership team to support them in better articulation of core values and principles governing business imperatives and measures of success
Impact
Our client achieved such great success in this whole exercise, which garnered many praises from the management team and staff that the organization signed on another year with us for the excellent and professional work performed.
On top of that, many staff have also expressed their appreciation to the management for the opportunity given to upskill and be trained. They have felt valued in the process despite the uncertainties of this M & A.
