STAR Leadership

A Special Residential Workshop

Look out for more details

The scope, scale and speed of digital disruptions tend to trigger disquiet from boardroom to the changing room particularly for traditional organisations. Digital disruptions often cut deep into an organisation’s core competencies, finances, human capabilities and even core values. As a consequence of transformational changes, organisational structures often reconfigured with many people being displaced (jobs and men are made redundant) and/or replaced (jobs taken over by new hires with the right competencies).

The demands for transformational leadership in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) world are inevitably different from a leader who operates in a relatively predictable albeit competitive environment. Against the backdrop of highly demanded expectations and multiple disruptions, it is even more challenging being an effective leader.

What is STAR LEADERSHIP Workshop?

The STAR Leadership is a special 3-days-2-nights Residential Workshop, specifically designed to build holistic and effective leaders to grow and excel in a dynamic environment, build a corporate culture and help to achieve the corporate mission.

At the end of this workshop, participants would be able to:

  • create an impact on the organisation that is operating in a disruptive operating environment
  • acquire transformational leadership competencies including perceptual acuity
  • innovate courageously and manage change to achieve high performance
  • collaborate and influence others to achieve sustainable results
  • grow individuals in the organisation through intentional effort
  • reflect on personal strengths and weaknesses for self-improvement; and develop key actions to improve leadership styles, skills and personal effectiveness

Why

MUST

the STAR Leadership Workshop be RESIDENTIAL?

  • Attitudinal changes take time
  • Being busy often leads us to having not enough time to think and reflect
  • Capability building that needs resetting for new scope or diverse needs
  • Knowledge and Skills for execution with insights through learning in a community
  • Perspectives gained for decision-making with foresight with conviction and circumspection

How will the STAR Leadership Workshop be Accomplished?

To enable rich discussions and in-depth sharing, the maximum number of participants in this workshop is kept to a size of 16. It is designed to start off with the presentation of some thought-provoking ideas and creative experiential activities, and typically followed by discussions and in-depth sharing of personal experiences.
