STAR Leadership
A Special Workshop
Look out for more details
When an individual contributor becomes a people manager, the definition of success changes. It is no longer just about completing tasks or meeting deadlines. The people manager must exercise judgement, manage complexity, and make decisions with clarity and conviction in order to guide a team towards shared goals. An effective manager must be intentional to understand oneself, others, and managing both work and people with purpose.
The STAR Managerial Journey invites managers to embrace a holistic understanding of their role. It calls them to examine who they are as managers, and what they should do, across four essential dimensions of leadership.
- Self-Management (Being): Developing self-mastery, courage, and resilience as the foundation of effective management.
- Thinking (Seeing Differently): Building clarity of direction, thinking critically, and managing complexity with greater confidence.
- Achieving (Doing): Driving team performance, collaborating across functions, and influencing outcomes with agility and impact.
- Relating (Connecting): Deepening emotional intelligence, building trust, and navigating interpersonal dynamics thoughtfully and authentically.
The design weaves together reflective exercises, practical learning activities, and real-world conversations to create a space where managers can discover themselves, surface hidden potential, strengthen their managerial identity, and grow with purpose.
At Capelle, we believe people are at the heart of every organisation. We see the potential in every individual, and for the past 30 years, we’ve walked alongside our partners to touch lives and transform organisations. This is our calling, and our commitment to our clients.

How will the STAR Leadership Workshop be Accomplished?
A 4-day off-site workshop facilitated by a small team of professionals who possess both invaluable work experience and facilitation.
The number of participants in this workshop is kept to an optimum size to enable rich discussions and in-depth sharing. It is designed to start off with the presentation of some thought-provoking ideas, and typically followed by discussion and sharing of experience.
To create significant and permanent changes in outward behaviours, the workshop offers ample opportunities for participants to examine their deeply-held inward beliefs and values as well as to discover their blind spots for personal improvement. Time and space are deliberately planned for self-reflection and journaling.
